Key goals include ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget while maximizing value delivered to clients. The WMS Practice Manager optimizes resources and practices efficiency by keeping a standardized methodology and proper continuous training for team members. Additionally, the WMS Practice Manager participates in sales efforts for the WMS offering (this includes possessing in-depth knowledge and understanding of the market and competitive products), client meetings, N’ware WMS events, and demonstrations as needed.[/vc_column_text][mk_padding_divider size="15"][vc_column_text css=".vc_custom_1703186768094{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}"]

RESPONSIBILITIES

MANAGEMENT AND HUMAN RESOURCES

  • Lead project planning and execution of WMS projects in collaboration with the Delivery Manager, using approved resources while following implementation methodology.
  • Collaborate with senior management and resource planners for effective resource allocation.
  • Supervise staff, conduct annual reviews, approve personal leave, and address personnel issues as required.
  • Provide ongoing coaching to enhance product knowledge, consulting skills, and team productivity.
  • Maintain a focus on customer satisfaction during project implementation and support thereafter.
  • Participate actively in project initiation, establish credibility with clients, and guide project teams.
  • Utilize corporate control tools for project coverage and milestone adherence.
  • Oversee project completion and handovers to support, ensuring client expectations are met.
  • Participate in weekly project reviews with internal staff (and clients where necessary), providing updates and follow-ups.
  • Ensure consistency in tools and methodologies across projects.
  • Occasionally serve as the WMS Practice Strategic Architect for unique client needs.
  • Plan work assignments, coordinate continuous learning, and promote team communication, while conducting periodic meetings with resources to realign efforts and address challenges.
  • Monitor project progress and take corrective actions as needed.
  • Suggest recruitment needs based on backlog of contract hours and expertise needed for the practice.
  • Manage escalations from active projects and act as the primary point of contact for management.

ESTIMATES

  • Collaborate on project estimates, validate diligent time entries, and manage budget approvals.
  • Address escalated Account Receivable issues and assist as needed in client collection or credit adjustments.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and provide recommendations to other departments.
  • Review and evaluate new client requests related to architecture.

PRODUCT OFFERING

  • Develop and nurture partnership with internal staff, partners (hardware, equipment, supplies, automation), and vendors to grow the N’ware WMS practice to be a “one-stop” partner for our clients that are looking for various Products and Services.
  • Provide Product and Services training/information not only to the N’ware WMS team members but also other colleagues under the N’ware umbrella.
  • Participate in weekly reviews with other N’ware departments to ensure proper alignment and planning.
  • Monitor the market landscape and stay updated on competitor products and activities.
  • Represent the company at strategic networking events, fostering partnerships, and generating leads.

COACHING AND MENTORING

  • Provide ongoing coaching to the WMS team, enhancing their product knowledge, techniques, and professional conduct.
  • Participate in go-to-market strategies for the practice and assist in establishing pricing, credit terms, guarantees, and delivery schedules in accordance with company policies.
  • Review and revise contracts as necessary.
