Job Title: Management Consultant (Finance and Regulatory Reporting) Key Responsibilities: Client Engagement:
- Engage with clients to understand their business objectives, challenges, and regulatory requirements related to financial accounting and reporting.
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders, including finance, regulatory, and IT teams, to effectively gather requirements and align project deliverables with client expectations.
- Lead and manage finance and regulatory reporting projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions that meet client needs and regulatory standards.
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocations, and oversee project execution to achieve project objectives within budget and scope.
- Apply deep expertise in financial accounting principles, standards, and practices to analyze financial data, identify accounting issues, and develop solutions to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).
- Stay abreast of evolving regulatory requirements and industry trends related to financial reporting, and advise clients on regulatory changes and implications for their business operations.
- Assist clients in enhancing their regulatory reporting processes, controls, and frameworks to mitigate compliance risks and improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
- Lead and execute system User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including test planning, test case development, test execution, defect management, and UAT sign-off, to ensure the successful implementation of financial accounting and reporting systems.
- Collaborate with IT teams and vendors to troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, and optimize system functionality to meet business requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) preferred.
- Proven experience as a Management Consultant or similar role in a consulting firm or financial institution, with a focus on finance and regulatory reporting projects.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, regulatory reporting requirements, and financial products and instruments.
- Demonstrated experience in performing system UAT, including test planning, test execution, and defect management.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial analysis tools; familiarity with financial accounting and reporting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
