As Category and Customer Marketing Associate Manager , you’ll be critical member of the ANZ team, partnering closely with the NZ Country Manager, Australian Customer Marketing Manager and wider marketing and sales teams. You will have a foot in each camp; Category and Customer (Trade) Marketing! This role, internally graded as Category and Customer Marketing Associate Manager , is best known in the NZ market as a Category and Trade Marketing Manager . You’ll have strong experience working in category; gathering data from the likes of Dunnhumby, Neilson and internal sources to formulate reports, highlight insights and create compelling narratives that will be used to gain market share of SC Johnson’s iconic brands and influence with our retailers. As the receptacle of key data, you’ll use this knowledge in the development of category performance, pricing and promotional strategies, working with the wider marketing, sales and merchandising teams to ensure your competitive strategies are executed efficiently in store and analysed to identify gaps and opportunities.About the Role:
Some key responsibilities of the role are:- Develop best in category range reviews, leading and delivering customer planning days.
- Partner in creating category growth plans using sound consumer/shopper insights regarding range, space & flow aligned to the brand agenda and category strategy
- Provide recommendations on portfolio, range, space, prioritization as aligned with HQ / ANZ marketing commercialisation
- Ensure execution of the plans, monitor, analyse and course correct as required to deliver vs the targets.
- Manage Total SKUs (jointly with Marketing and Product Supply), and deliver SKU optimization actions
- Source relevant samples, materials, assets etc related to the setup of range reviews and planning days
- Responsible for the management and execution of special packs (either new or adopted from AU) for NZ
- Jointly with Sales, ensure optimal allocation planning of trade spend, and appropriate processes and controls are followed in the use of resources
About you:
- You will be a self-starter and comfortable working at the fast pace of FMCG
- Be highly collaborative and communicative as this role deals with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- You’ll have customer facing experience through leading range reviews and/or customer meetings and negotiations
- Be passionate about data and have a high level of comfortability and strong working knowledge of Excel
- Candidates must be Covid-19 vaccinated

Required Skills and Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in grocery FMCG in a data driven category / marketing / sales analyst role
- Experience in project management and ability to manage and prioritise tasks and priorities, with a keen attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate remotely with the Global & Regional project teams
- Degree qualified in business / marketing or related field
- Experience with Nielsen (preferred) / IRI / Quantium / Dunnhumby
- Advanced computer skills, particularly Excel & PowerPoint
- Experience with layout/space planning software
