This is a remote position. Job Overview The role is to mark school students assessments. During the school holidays the number of assessments will reduce. As such this person will undertake moderation activities continuous improvement tasks or general administration roles Job Description 1. Training and Assessment The aim is to maintain the highest standards of training and assessment when delivering the VET in Schools programs. 1.1 Planning and coordination

  • Attend all industry relevant meetings.
  • Maintain and update personal calendar with available time slots as approved by the reporting line.
  • Respond to emails within a 48hour timeframe or in cases where meeting this deadline or providing an answer is not feasible due to a lack of knowledge promptly forward the email to the SPM for appropriate handling.
  • Ensure teacher questions and problems are responded to in 24 hours with a solution provided within 7 days or provide the stakeholder with a timeline.
1.2 Training
  • Support teachers in the delivery of the relevant training packages.
  • Manage student behaviour and report issues to the school and RTO when appropriate.
  • Plan prepare deliver and assess in accordance with the training package requirements and course requirements.
1.3 Assessment
  • Ensure assessment are marked within a 7day timeframe and if unable to meet this requirement promptly seek assistance from the SPM.
  • The KPI for marking is to complete 10 12 assessment per hour or 60 to 80 assessment per day. These KPIs do not consider other activities undertaken during the day such as school visits.
2. Compliance and Quality Assurance The aim is to ensure the VET in Schools program adheres to all relevant regulations policies and guidelines. Stay updated with changes in the VET sector and implement quality assurance processes to maintain the highest standards of training and customer service. 2.1 Validation and Moderation Support the moderation and compliance process by:
  • Identifying credit transfer and RPL opportunities.
  • Maintaining awareness of updates and transition of Training package.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of training resources and assessment.
  • Participating in regulatory audits as required.
  • Modelling compliance best practice

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an assessor with a solid understanding of the RTO Standards 2015.
  • Proficient knowledge of the relevant training package.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities adapt to changes and make timely decisions.
  • Proactive and flexible approach to creative problemsolving.
  • Current industry experience is required.
  • Possession of either TAE40116 or TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Relevant industry qualifications are preferred such as in Business Volunteering and Sport Coaching. Industry experience in these areas may substitute for formal qualifications with the option to pursue certification if necessary.
