A successful candidate in this role will build and manage an organization that delivers superior functional services for the needs of a global consulting organization as well as provide consulting services delivery management in India. Some of these functional services and definitely not limited to are remote/onsite consulting services delivery, automation frameworks to improve efficiency, operational tracking and reporting of key metrices to measure performance of global organization. The candidate will lead a high performing organization of a size of 15+ employees (with a scope to grow further) comprising of Architects, Consultants, Project Mangers, Automation Engineers remotely supporting the needs of APJ, EMEA and Americas consulting business to maintain highest levels of customer satisfaction. This role is a senior role and the candidate is expected to build successful rapport with senior stakeholders from customers, partners, sales, pre-sales, Geo Leaders, Country Leaders, HR and other cross functional team leaders. Your Role:

  • Establish vision, mission and clear set of KPIs for the Digital Delivery Center Team (India Delivery Center or DDC) as well as each team member aligned with the global consulting organization objectives.
  • Drive the overall DDC Business and the Team to meet and exceed the KPIs.
  • Define and execute the DDC strategy to effectively serve the needs of global consulting organization from a optimal cost center to maximize efficiency. Elevate the visibility of DDC organization within each Geography to be seen as primary go to team rather than playing a secondary role.
  • Manage the India consulting services delivery business including revenue, P&L, escalation management, forecasting
  • Active leadership of the automation team and driving of significant uptick in workload/team size, championing team skills and proactive building of an automation roadmap in conjunction with practices team
  • Proactive global operations leader, providing data analysis and insight around consulting data, driving improvement programs based on data uncovered
  • Own and Deliver corporate and HR messaging of Nutanix on leadership behalf to the team in India
  • Partnership with other Professional Services Teams (TAMs, Residents) in India to more creatively share resources across teams when and where possible
  • Help develop and support advanced leadership capability in the organisation - mid and senior level managers, and their teams
  • Foster an environment of legendary customer service - Improve solutions based on internal insights and customer feedback to inspire your team and the broader company to deliver higher value
  • Attract and nurture top talent, improve employee engagement and satisfaction
  • Escalations management – address and manage complex customer issues and provide recommendations that are aligned with account strategy.
  • Demonstrate steadfast and sound decision-making abilities to resolve problems.
What you'll bring:
  • 12 + years of relevant IT industry experience (hybrid multi-cloud, compute, networking, storage) with exposure working with diverse culture.
  • 5+ years’ direct people management experience leading a team of 3+ (or manager of manager) in a professional services teams, preferably with a software company consulting organization.
  • Work with Nutanix customers to understand business goals and translate them into cloud automation and orchestration solutions
  • Evangelize Nutanix’s vision for a multi-cloud world and offer hands on experience delivering these outcomes for our customers
  • Run customer facing workshops to develop the Cloud requirements and design and document these for customer review and approval
  • A minimum of 5 years of industry experience
  • Excellent architecture expertise with in-depth understanding of cloud architecture patterns
  • Ability to whiteboard solutions interactively with customers and develop robust architectural documentation
  • High comfort level using one or more automation tools or orchestration application stacks and frameworks (e.g. Terraforms, Lambda, Azure Pack, Azure Stack, OpenStack, Cloud Stack, VMware vCO, or Microsoft Systems Center Orchestrator)
  • Experience with developing and managing cloud-computing environments like Amazon EC2, Azure and/or GCP
  • Experience developing scalable cloud microservices using container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Mesosphere
  • Understanding of architecture and use cases for configuration management tools like Puppet, Chef, Ansible, and SALT Stack
  • Leverage DevOps tools like GitHub, Jira, Jenkins, Artifactory, Zephyr, etc. to deliver automation and promote a DevOps culture
  • Experience with building and running large scale, distributed, highly-available, fault-tolerant, multi-tier applications running on both Windows and Linux
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of detail .
  • Demonstrated experience developing and promoting talent-nurturing programmes that lead to accomplished leaders.
  • Leadership experience managing large teams to exceed operational performance goals
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a positive attitude with high levels of self-awareness, professionalism, ownership.
  • Ability to identify, attract and retain top talent.
  • Proven track record planning and managing large, customer facing programs of work and/or IT transformations.
  • Strong skills in strategic planning, critical thinking, and financial analysis.
  • Strong stakeholder management along with the ability to build one’s own “brand”.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with modern software development methodologies with an emphasis on software defined datacenter, infrastructure as code, complex distributed systems, and cloud based computing.
  • Deep understanding of infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS), platform-as-a-service (PaaS), Software-as-a-service, and hybrid cloud computing environments.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, startup (or startup-like) environment and experience building teams a big plus.
  • Proven ability to interact and communicate with CxO-level personnel and navigate customer organizations to ensure successful project delivery and acceptance.
  • Familiarity with systems management concepts, processes, standards (preferably ITIL) including capacity/performance, storage and network management.
  • PMP or equivalent certification
