VMGroup is seeking an experienced Senior Digital forensic manager to lead and expand our team of forensic analysts within the Digital Forensics team.
Based at VMGroup Dublin office, this office-based role requires a dynamic professional ready to make an impact. The successful candidate will report to the Technical Director and play a pivotal role in managing the digital forensic team, implementing and maintaining ISO standards, fostering client relations, and spearheading training, strategy, and team growth initiatives. The candidate must have a proven track record of expert witness service delivery and experience in mentoring junior consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
As the Senior Digital Forensic Manager, you will be responsible for the comprehensive management of the Professional Services Team in the Digital forensics service line, encompassing analysts and aligning to the operations management at VMGroup. This includes mentoring analysis, peer reviews, auditing, case management, reporting and collaborative engagement with the Senior Management Team and key stakeholders. Additionally, you will lead and strategise growth within the department, conduct forensic investigations and produce forensic reports and statements to evidential standards, and present reports within the Irish and Northern Irish court jurisdictions. Maintenance and oversight of standard practices documentation and assistance in the implementation and upkeep of ISO 17025 and requisite forensic standards will also be integral to the role. You’ll play a crucial part in reviewing the team’s training needs and requirements.Required Skills and Experience:
Required Competencies:- Minimum of 8 years experience in Digital Forensics (with at least two years as a senior lead of department or team leader).
- Demonstrable leadership skills in monitoring, improving, and adapting a forensic team.
- Client-facing experience for both existing and new work-streams.
- Ability to scope large projects and lead a team in large investigations.
- Ability to ensure toolsets being used are current, and meet requirements and demand
- Strong knowledge and adherence to Forensic Science Principles.
- Demonstrable expertise in applicable standards such as ISO 17025 and FSR.
- Full Irish driving licence and own car
- An ability to diagnose digital device issues and technical problem solving
- Experience of growing client base within the forensic service line
- Ability to identify opportunities and win new business
- Ability to forecast annual budgets for the service line for technology, software and training requirements
- Valid employment visa to work in both Ireland, Northern Ireland and United Kingdom.
