Associate, PostgreSQL Database Administrator, Group Infrastructure and Cloud, Technology and Operations

Business Function Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and inspire to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels. Responsibilities

• Overseeing the database administration functions which includes
  • Database installation
  • Database implementation
  • Datbase backup and maintenance
  • Basic optimization of PostgreSQL DBMS
• Preparing documentations and specifications
• Work various work schedules that support a 24x7 coverage may include nights, weekends and holidays

• Moderate proficiency in PostgreSQL database management.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in PostgreSQL database administration.
• Moderate knowledge in PostgreSQL core components and concepts.
• Basic knowledge of Linux operating system (RedHat) and Linux commands.
• Experience in installing and configuring PostgreSQL.
• Experience in setting up replication.
• Experience in preparing documentations and specifications.
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
• Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in PostgreSQL.
• Knowledge of limitations in PostgreSQL and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases.
• Maintaining production, UAT and dev databases without outage
• Familiarity with other databases such as MariaDB, MySQL or Oracle will be an added advantage.
• Willingness to learn and teach back.
• Should be a good team player.
