Job Title: Intern, Maintenance Engineering

Our continued success depends on it! Department: Maintenance Engineering Position Overview:

1. The incumbent will receive industrial development and exposure to a medical device environment.
2. He/she will practice hands-on activities related to production machine issues, machine improvement activities, and service/repair of equipment/devices.
3. He/she will provide support to the area/field being assigned and complete tasks assigned by Supervisors/Engineers/Coaches within or cross division.

Responsibilities:

1. Task include reviewing the documents from our CM supplier’s documents and convert to local (Insulet Malaysia) SOP format.
2. Check the documents to ensure they are meeting local processes flow.
3. Some knowledge in Manufacturing Operation and understanding of Omnipod process.
4. Understand defects of product, cycle time of machine, and operation of production machine.
5. Scorecard production line efficiency, scrap, and downtime performance.

Education and Experience: Minimum Requirements:

1. Enrolled as BS or MS candidate in engineering course or at least final year in engineering course or similar field MS Office (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook) and data analytics tools.

Preferred Skills and Competencies:

1. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
2. Data Analysis: Minitab, JMP, Excel.
3. CAD: Solidworks, AutoCAD.
4. Multi-language fluency preferred (English, Malay, Mandarin).

Physical Requirements:

1. Required to stand up to 75% of working time per shift, with walking up to 50% of working time per shift.
2. Able to work off shifts (nights/weekends) as needed.
3. Ability to lift up to 20lbs occasionally, 5-20lbs frequently.
4. Required to reach above shoulder frequently and below waist occasionally.
5. Required to push and pull.
6. Required to stand for extended periods of time and navigate an active production floor.
