Architectural Technician - Grade 2

Matrix Recruitment are seeking to an Architectural Technician – Grade 2 for a temporary position with our Public Sector client in Co. Carlow. The successful candidate will play a vital role in producing technical drawings, conducting site surveys and inspections, ensuring compliance with regulations, and preparing tender documents. This role is a 3–month contract. Produce technical drawings using CAD, Graphics, and Revit software Conduct site surveys and inspections to gather necessary information Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulations Prepare comprehensive construction documents, including plans, elevations, sections, and details Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other colleagues to coordinate design efforts and contribute to project success Ability to receive sample building drawings and bring them up to spec Review drawings and specifications for accuracy and adherence to design standards The candidate must be open to short-term assignments. What are we looking for? Diploma/Higher Certificate (NFQ Level 6) or a degree in Architectural Technology/Technologists (NFQ Level 7). Relevant experience in Architectural Drawing required, preferably 1-2 years or recent graduate. Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, ArchiCAD, etc.) and BIM software (Revit). Strong technical drawing skills and attention to detail. Thorough understanding of legislation and regulations. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to multitask and manage projects while adhering to strict deadlines. Full detailed job spec available on request.
