Core Functions & Responsibilities This role provides a unique opportunity to gain a high level perspective on Temasek's portfolio, investment activities, strategy and focus areas as well to participate in developing plans and programmes to address ongoing organizational needs and opportunities as we continue to expand the scale and scope of our activities and broaden and deepen our investment expertise. As part of the Investment Group Office (IGO) team, the responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: 1) Internal reporting and management

  • Assist IG head and senior management in periodic internal and external presentation and reporting requirements, such as quarterly portfolio reviews, discussion materials for Board meetings
  • Work alongside functional teams to track and manage investment activities (e.g. investment pipelines, approvals and liquidity tracking, investment plans)
2) Portfolio analysis
  • Analyze investment portfolio parameters to provide insights on investment outcomes and portfolio performance
  • Derive inputs to frame overall investment strategy and direction (e.g. investment focus, capital allocation etc.)
  • Identify portfolio opportunities and vulnerabilities and coordinate portfolio strategy ideas within IG and with other groups, such as PSRG and Corporate Finance
3) Cross-sector/market projects to improve IG's investment capabilities:
  • Work with various investment and functional teams across a range of impactful and strategic projects (e.g. analyzing portfolio mix and investment attributes, corporate governance trends and tracking, board representation analysis for investments, managing investments aligned with trends across sectors/markets)
  • Review business processes in light of the systems and provide/conduct training as necessary and represent investment groups to manage the development of investment management technology projects
Qualifications & Capabilities • Preferably 2-3 years of experience working in a front office, front office support, accounting/audit or business manager function • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (preferably in Finance / Business / Accounting discipline) • Self-starter with a proven ability to manage multiple projects • Good interpersonal skills - ability to work well with different teams • Strong competence in MS excel modeling and powerpoint skills required • Familiarity with Bloomberg, Capital IQ as well as data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, Qliksense) and programming languages (e.g. Python) would be preferred.
