Job Description: Senior Commercial Manager
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Manager to join our high performing delivery team on a 12-months basis. The Senior Commercial Manager will manage and coordinate a wide range of activities to deliver efficient construction site operations, responsible for all commercial and contract aspects of the construction project, and ensuring the management of site services in accordance with organisational standards, policies, and procedures. - Manage and coordinate site operations including construction works contracts, construction program, and procurement including purchasing reports and acknowledgment of materials and supplies.
- Manage site processes including documentation and systems, ensuring all activities comply with legislative and statutory regulations.
- Manage and coordinate external suppliers for all site materials and supplies to ensure efficient site management activities.
- Train, mentor, and coach staff and team members to develop internal expertise and to ensure that staff are adequately resourced to perform.
- Create constructive tension with Lendlease PM&C to manage the cost plan within the bid underwrite position.
- Manage the external independent cost consultant to create an informative sense check on the market position for construction costs.
Requirements:
- Recognised Degree in Building, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Construction Management, or related disciplines.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in large-scale integrated real estate development or construction projects.
- RICS or equivalent accreditation will be advantageous.
- Familiarity with managing contractor delivery models.
- Strong planning, organisational, and negotiating skills.
- Experience of negotiating and executing construction contracts from the construction and possibly the client perspective.
