Major Responsibilities: · Provides technical guidance and administrative direction to the engineering team. · Assist in on-the-job-training of assigned personnel and provide input for their performance evaluations. · Reviews and implements project plans, standard engineering details and specifications for constructability and conformance to regulatory requirements and productivity improvement. · Monitors and manages progress of the Lead Designer/Consultants Organization thru various Engineering Managers and Design Managers. · Recommends and implements changes in design or construction methods where required. · Advises project team of obvious discrepancies or trends that may be detrimental to the project. · Sponsors and supports the project schedule and automation development programs related to work execution. · Reviews essential contractual documents such as Scope of Work, Request for Proposal (RFP) and Information Report. · Interface with clients and stakeholders to make presentations, define project layout requirements, and obtain contractual and statutory approvals. · Develops common guidelines and procedures for effective quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) programs. · Monitors execution methodology on projects to learn from improvements and to promote continuous improvement. · Support the creation of a work environment that fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and job satisfaction. · Assist in on-the-job-training of assigned personnel and provide input for their performance evaluations.
