This role supports the business operations by being able to help keep the day-to-day IT operations running smoothly. S/he would be seen by internal business units and/or end users as a trusted advisor. What will YOU do?

  • Deal with problems and issues, managing resolutions, corrective actions, lessons learned, and the collection and dissemination of relevant information
  • Implement stakeholder engagement/communications plan. Collect and use feedback from customers and stakeholders to help measure the effectiveness of stakeholder management
  • Help develop and enhance customer and stakeholder relationships
  • Take responsibility for managing the design, procurement, installation, upgrading, operation, control, maintenance and effective use of specific technology services
  • Lead the delivery of services, ensuring that agreed service levels, security requirements and other quality standards are met
  • Ensure adherence to relevant policies and procedures 
  • Ensure that processes and practices are aligned across teams and providers to operate effectively and efficiently
  • Monitor the performance of technology services
  • Provide appropriate status and other reports to managers and senior users
  • Develop, maintain and test incident management procedures in agreement with service owners
  • Investigate escalated, non-routine and high-impact incidents to responsible service owners and seeks resolution
  • Initiate and monitor actions to investigate and resolve problems in systems, processes and services
  • Maintain operational security processes and check that all requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures
  • Manage and maintain the service compliance of IT and service assets in line with business and regulatory requirements
  • Take full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects
  • Monitor and maintain financial records to agreed requirements for compliance and audit
  • Forms, maintains and leads workgroups and individuals to achieve organisational objectives
What will YOU need?
  • At least 7 - 10 years of relevant employment experience, with at least 3 years of people management experience
  • Must have certification in ITIL, PMP, or other related expertise
  • Must have educational background in Computer Science, Information Technology, or any related technology course
  • Relevant experience working in oil and gas, energy, retail or business services industry
  • Strong level of knowledge in computer technology, data and analysis, and project management
