Oliver Wyman is now looking for a Business Impact Manager (Public Sector Policy/ Government and Public Institutions) for IMEA Region ! This role can be based out of our Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh office. The Opportunity The Public Sector Policy/ Government and Public Institutions Business Impact Manager role is newly created role within the IMEA Business Impact Team to support the region’s growth. The role will primarily support the regional head of PSP while being an integral part of the regional Business Impact Team and help drive global and regional processes, compliance and best practices within the remit. The Business Impact Manager will play a central role in the management and community building of the supported areas. The role effectively orchestrates practice staff and support provided by the various functions both regionally and globally. The role will work closely with the regional lead in managing the day-to-day affairs of the practice, acting as a go-to person for all colleagues regarding practice related topics and interface with other relevant support functions to drive seamless collaboration. One of the key roles will be coordinating with the IMEA PSP BD Manager and with the IMEA BD Admin Team. The role will also be responsible for identifying improvement opportunities, recommend and implement agreed improvement plans, best practices and efficiency increasing initiatives as well as following through on key global and regional processes and KPIs. Key responsibilities of the role include: Practice management
  • Support practice and capability head in execution of day-to-day to do list
  • Act as a central point of contact for practice staff (Partners, affiliated consultants and specialists), support departments and EAs to ensure and facilitate the effective management of the practice
  • Plan and drive key internal practice meetings, e.g. partner meetings, all staff updates, events, offsites, etc.
  • Proactively prepare meetings including ownership of materials
  • PMO responsibilities, track actions and ensure follow-up; support any ad-hoc initiatives for the practice
  • Support the practice head with comms, material development for regional and global meetings, work seamlessly with other support functions on reporting and business updates
  • Help drive the implementation of the regional strategy as a whole as well as practice specific elements in alignment with the IMEA CoS and Practice Head
Business development support
  • Support and work closely with the IMEA PSP BD Manager, work together to leverage pipeline, data analysis of won/lost opportunities, identify process improvement areas on to their full potential
  • Be well versed and familiar with the various offerings within the practice
Business Impact support
  • Be an integral part of the IMEA Business Impact Team and represent the practice while being the champion for regional and global best practice and process implementation for the practice
  • Support the IMEA BIT team with practice level process implementation/ roll out/ follow up such as annual CIT review, Partner year end process, other critical business processes
  • Help bring the practice and the partners on relevant change journeys
  • Work with the events team to set and deliver social calendar on time and budget
  • Keep informal pulse on sentiment and flag issues
Experience required
  • 4+ years of experience in professional services company, ideally strong consulting background with excellent PPT, Excel and data analytical skills. Experience in a leading management consulting firm/ industry is highly desirable
  • Experience dealing with confidential and business critical issues
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with colleagues of all levels
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, work independently as needed and meet tight business deadlines
  • Willingness to respond to ad-hoc requests and projects, have a can-do and solution-oriented attitude
  • Quantitative skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (in particular Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong academic credentials, excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, Arabic is a plus
