Manager OR Senior Consultant

Overview: Global commodities business looking to grow its internal management consulting arm. At a fundamental level, this team supports the wider organization to own and solve its critical business problems internally. Our client operates in 35 countries and has been in operation for almost 150 years. Senior Consultant Responsibilities:Process large quantities of data in an efficient & organized mannerConstructively challenge the status-quo and provide input into strategies to optimize the business performanceActively and respectfully share your point of view in a multi stakeholder contextHelp plan and scope the required activities needed as part of a variety of projectsDeliver results to the organization and ensure the implementation plans to support your recommendations are in placeEnsure all material and documents are appropriately captured in the company's knowledge management systemRecommend cross-fertilization of practices across the global client group in collaboration with the team's leadershipManager Responsibilities:Work with the team and business leaders to identify and scope consulting projects which create value for Product Group assets and FunctionsAutonomously deliver one or more projects at a time, managing the interface and ensuring strong collaboration with the project client and their teamsDevelop and present sustainable short and long term project recommendationsDevelop and lead the project work plan for a combined team of consultants and client team members to deliver outcomesLead the recruitment, coaching and development of several consultantsQualities:Data and value-driven - you are able to understand and translate data into meaningful insightsA highly analytical and critical thinker - you have a creative outlook combined with practicality and a strategic focusTeam player- you enjoy collaborating with others, developing your internal network and coaching your team and clientsTenacious - you will tackle complex problems that require perseverance and a "can do" mindsetHumble - you will be accessible to all stakeholders in order to leverage their broad skills and experiences, and influence the transformation of the companyCurious - you enjoy stimulating intellectual challenges, and have fun working in a diverse teamMobile - you are able and willing to travel within Canada and internationallyRequirements and Skills:3-5 years (Senior Consultant) OR 4-7 years (Manager) of experience leading either consulting projects in a top-tier consulting firm or complex, company-wide projects within a corporate environmentExperience leading teams in operational settings, with relevant industry experience highly regarded.Demonstrated experience in conducting analysis, ensuring accurate and updated data from varying sources and interpreting complex results to find key opportunitiesDemonstrated ability to exercise critical thinking and challenge the status quoGood understanding of business improvement principles and practicesExperience in project management and change managementThe ability to work in English and French as clients are bilingualA Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field. MBA desirable.
