Job Title Account Assistant Department Finance & Accounts Report to Finance Manager / Head of Department Job purpose This position will play a role in providing support to the Accounting Department. Core duties and responsibilities
- Liasson with clients for documents acquired
- Assist supervisor for monthly account closing
- Assist supervisor in data checking, reconciliation and any account related task as required
- Assisting in SST return and ensure accuracy and timely submission
- Follow up with customers on outstanding accounting matters
- Liaise with external parties eg. Auditors, tax agent, company secretary, customs, etc.
- Any other relevant duties as assigned from time to time
- Manage and supervise the day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Collaborating with other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support
- Gathering supporting documentation and performing recordkeeping.
- Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports as requested by senior management.
- Must possess at least Higher Diploma in Accounting.
- Fresh graduated and those with related accounting experience but lower qualification than diploma are encourage to apply.
- Analytical, resourceful, organised, able to work independently with minimum supervision and under tight deadlines
- Good team player and willing to learn
- Office and Travelling is required when necessary
- General good health, vision and mobility
