JOB PURPOSE To provide support on technical matters and advice on Bus’s Fleet related projects or initiatives to be undertaken by Operation. To review technical submission of projects at initiation, during implementation and post completion to achieve the desired quality and objectives of the programs or developments made. To manage and deliver successfully project within the expected time, quality and cost to achieve the objective in alignment with the company’s business needs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Check and review technical reports for stakeholders in specific project or new development to ensure the technical aspects are properly captured in the report prior escalation to management.
  2. Coordinate and liaise between all parties from project working level to supporting divisions on project-related matters and eliminate conflicts between parties involved to maintain good working relationships.
  3. Develop, check and review on the sufficiency of contents for Scope of Works, Technical Specifications, and other parts of the Employer’s Requirement in project Tender Documents, ensuring that the Employer’s Requirement is complete and fit for issuance of tender with minimal potential for variation orders or disputes during post-award stage.
  4. Coordinate and monitor of project implementation and recommend decisions based on sufficient analyses to ensure the project outcome is as planned and achieved the targeted objectives.
  5. Providing support and input to End-users in managing issues with consultants, third party, contractors, etc and identify potential issues to mitigate risks during project implementation to produce the desired result.
  6. Manage and monitor of timely project execution and within cost and, where unavoidable, to prepare and recommend variations for consideration by management.
  7. Identify suitable approach on any proposal or initiative that is able to improve the result of delivering maintenance to meet company’s cost saving initiatives or/and increase efficiency in Operation.
  8. Support immediate HOU, HOS and HOD to any task being assigned, as and when is required.
  9. To participate in tender evaluations and prepare technical evaluation reports to select the most capable contractor with the most suitable product keeping in mind utmost transparency and adherence to company policies and code of conduct.
QUALIFICATION, SKILLS, COMPETENCIES AND KNOWLEDGE
  • Bachelor Degree or Masters in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Electronics Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • Consideration on other discipline if have work in public transport environment and project management.
  • At least twelve (12) years of working experience in related field and/or managing projects.
  • At least Some experience in public transport operation and maintenance is preferred.
  • Possesses Project Management, Interpersonal, Communication, Technical know-how, Negotiation skills as well as good understanding and knowledge in engineering discipline as per requirement.
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and other common Microsoft Office applications.
  • Expertise in field-specific software such as analysis and design software, etc. is preferable.
  • Expertise in project scheduling software is preferable.
