As the Legal & Compliance Manager, you will have overall operational and strategic responsibility over the full spectrum of legal and compliance functions across Easybook.com. You will work closely with other senior management team members to achieve shared organizational objectives, in providing legal and company secretarial services across the group. The roles and duties: - Managing the review, drafting and negotiating a range of general commercial agreements including; o IT/Software Development Agreements o Service, Marketing and Purchase Agreements. o Non-Disclosure Agreements - Managing legal issues across the Group relating to; o Regulatory, Licensing and Compliances o Website Terms and Conditions of Use o Privacy, Spam and Consumer Law o Trademarks and Intellectual Property Portfolio o Fraud and Dispute Resolution o Infringement of websites, breach of Easybook's copyright and terms and conditions - Manage and lead internal projects such as: updating templates and precedents, running and presenting compliance workshops, standardizing documentation processes, maintenance of license register, and supervision of company secretarial service providers. - Provides assistance on M&A transactions and manage day to day legal operations of subsidiaries. - Managing the delivery of Company Secretarial Services to all companies within the Group. - Undertake any ad-hoc assignments as and when required. - This position will report to the Chief Financial Officer. Requirement - Degree in Law or an equivalent degree or professional qualification. - Minimum 5 years Post Qualification Experience, at a top tier / boutique law firm or otherwise in an ‘in-house’ environment, with exposure to and experience of handling a range of corporate/commercial matters. - A ‘common-sense’ approach when handling legal matters that balances legal requirements with commercial considerations. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple and disparate tasks, including excellent organizational, time management skills, with excellent attention to detail. - Fluent English, in written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to work autonomously and as part of a cross-departments team. Location - Hybrid working arrangement, flexibility work from office and home.
