About you and this role Serves as an Operations IT/OT global subject matter expert accountable for first- and second-level system management, support, and oversight of a defined business process area. Functionally leads the business process team and leads technical and work process support and oversight at a corporate level and drives adoption and use of corporate, best-in-class processes and applications by end users across all businesses and at all sites. Requires advanced skills and expertise in a range of processes, procedures, and systems, along with specialized technical expertise within an analytical/scientific method or operational process to lead a broad range of complex deliverables. Functionally and technically leads and executes tasks and activities aligned to the high-level Operations IT/OT strategy along with technology discipline and/or business process multi-generation plans to support optimal capability of processes, procedures, and related IT solutions. Leads Operations and cross-functional teams to deliver strategic technical, work process, and management system improvements within the corporate MET1 Operations IT/OT solution portfolio, including coordinating support of MET2 (business) and MET3 (site) applications as appropriate based on agreements. Dow has a rewarding opportunity available for a Technical Project Manager/Technical Support SME – Document Management. You can be in Dow Chennai Engineering Center. key expectations for this position are to design, configure and deploy engineering document management systems. You will have a mix of project management and technical configuration skills, engineering knowledge and a passion for delighting customers. You will also use your mix of product support, troubleshooting and Windows/SQL Server technical skills to support, configure and evangelize a multi-year, global deployment of engineering document management best practices. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to provide effective remote support is essential. Responsibilities
- Manage implementation of engineering document management projects, balancing customer satisfaction, project profitability and schedule.
- Perform ETL for migration from legacy Document Systems including data validation and clean up.
- Facilitate customer meetings to define and document requirements. Configure the document management tool, train customers, and deploy the solution.
- Attend document management training to become a subject matter expert. Support operations of 40+, 24/7 global document management Windows servers located in the North American, European, and Asian regions.
- Provide regional Level 1 and Level 2 customer support as needed. Work with Dow IT and the software vendor to deploy new servers, coordinate software updates, troubleshoot operational issues and provide input to architectural design decisions.
- Implement and support related software apps, including functions such as user management, metadata quality and reporting. Prepare training materials, conduct training, and demonstrate the product. Support other Project Managers’ activities as required.
- A minimum of an associate degree in a technical field, or at least 7 years of equivalent technical experience
- Minimum 3 years in EPC firms to support Document Management tools, a technical software project manager position, with experience in requirements analysis, designing, building, testing, training and roll-out.
- Demonstrated patience and confidence while interacting with customers.
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Experience configuring and deploying document management systems.
- Excellent knowledge of Windows Servers.
- Excellent knowledge of networking and network infrastructure.
- A good working knowledge of process industry engineering design work processes.
- Working knowledge of role-based systems security models.
- Independent, self-starter who requires minimal supervision and can drive tasks remotely.
- Excellent presentation and data gathering skills.
- Technical experience in technologies such as .NET, VB, C#, PowerShell, Python, or other structured programming a plus
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft SQL, including queries, stored procedures, and indexes
