Christian Vision SA is looking for a full-time Content Specialist who is passionate about evangelism, skilled in creating compelling video content in support of digital strategies, and comfortable navigating elements of the creative process from concept to final delivery.

Job Overview

The Content Specialist is responsible for assembling recorded raw material into a finished product suitable for use on CV platforms and events. The material may include camera footage, dialogue, sound effects, graphics, and special effects. In addition, they support the Content Manager as required within the framework of the CV Mission and Vision Statement by carrying out specific daily duties as a Content Specialist.

Specific Responsibilities

  • To produce multimedia content to achieve missional value and audience reach as directed.
  • To produce items of promotional and communication content as directed.
  • To coordinate and collaborate with external resources to execute a creative brief.
  • To assist in pre-production, location sourcing and setup, production, and post-production processes.
  • To work according to budgeted costs and deadlines.
  • To undertake key technical responsibilities including maintenance, setup and operation of complex camera, lighting, sound and editing equipment.
  • To maintain an up-to-date understanding of industry terminology, aesthetics, and production processes for creative equipment and software applications required for video editing, image manipulation, and sound effects/design.
  • To exercise excellent interpersonal and communication skills, particularly in consultation with cast and production personnel.
  • To organise and supervise loading/unloading of equipment, scenery and props.

Skills / Experience / Education

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in pre-production, production, and post-production processes.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in Adobe Creative Cloud applications (Premiere Pro is necessary, and After Effects is advantageous).
  • Three to five years of full-time work experience with experience in operating DSLR cameras and supporting equipment.
  • Ability to handle stressful situations and deadline pressures well.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.

This is a full-time, office-based role working from our Bellville office in Cape Town, South Africa. We do not offer remote working, and applicants must be authorised to work in South Africa.
