Apply now Job no: 500386 Work type: Permanent Location: South Brisbane Categories: Administration About the role The Mater Mothers Hospital Brisbane has an opportunity available for an Administration Officer to join their team on a permanent part time basis. What you’ll be doing The Administration Officer plays a key role in the delivery of exceptional service to Mater patients, relatives and staff with a special focus on the Mater Mother’s Hospital (MMH) and Mater Mother’s Private Hospital (MMPHB). The core function of the role is to support the daily administrative operational requirements of the ward/unit with a specific focus on operational efficiency across a 7-day roster comprising of day and after hours shifts between the hours of 6am – 9pm. To proactively perform tasks relating to service delivery, business support, systems administration, and any other tasks as directed by the Team Leader/Manager, ensuring work performed is exceptional, every time. The role will work closely with the Admin Team Leader/Manager and Senior Administration Officers and will be responsible for supporting the management of resources to meet business needs and growth within your unit of employment and across the entire MMH & MMHPB Administration teams. Duties include but not limited to:- Apply basic knowledge of the applicable work instruction/s to support rostering within the work unit
- Actively participate in supporting a collaborative team culture by applying and adhering to Mater’s Behavioural Standards and Code of Conduct
- Actively partner with consumers and patients, as well as interprofessional colleagues, to support service and operational objectives that provide an exceptional experience and outcomes, every time
- Perform typical administrative duties which may include but is not limited to:
- Filing and record maintenance
- Coordinate management of incoming and outgoing mail
- Prepare and scan documentation
- Participate in the implementation of projects, undertaking training and education as necessary
- Apply the principles of Speaking With Good Judgement in all interactions with colleagues and peers
- Relevant qualifications or experience in Administration highly regarded
- Experience or the ability to acquire skills using Health Information Systems
- Experience working in a team within the Medical/Healthcare profession is highly desirable
