Project Manager - IT Governance

You’ll find our 350+ team currently across 9 locations and time zones. The Role We're looking for a  IT Project Manager to join us on a 12 month contract to lead our IT Governance uplift project. This is a brand-new, first-of-its-kind role at Pepperstone, in which you will focus on the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive IT, IT Security, and Business Continuity programs over a span of approximately one year, with possible ongoing management thereafter. Reporting to our CTO in Melbourne, you will responsible for the effective oversight and management of our application, service, infrastructure, and data portfolio. This involves establishing and managing the lifecycle of various application, service, and infrastructure components, and optimizing assets to ensure they are operating within the contract obligations. As a results-driven leader, you will have a strong background in IT governance, security practices, and business continuity planning, alongside proven project management skills to organize and drive initiatives that enhance our organizational resilience and compliance. Your key responsibilities include:

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the IT Governance uplift project, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with relevant standards.
• Organise the development and implementation of robust IT, IT Security, and Business Continuity processes and programs.
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure effective integration of IT governance, security, and business continuity practices.
• Collaborate with key IT functional processes for appropriate prioritization of governance activities within resource constraints.
• Management of audit requests for information and assigned to the correct subject matter experts.
• Facilitate training and awareness programs to enhance organizational understanding and adherence to IT governance, security, and business continuity protocols.
• Monitor and report on the progress of the project, including milestones, risks, and budget, to senior management and other key stakeholders.

About You:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on IT governance, IT security, and business continuity.
• Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL), security standards (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST), and business continuity planning principles.
• Proven ability to lead and manage complex projects with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
• Previous exposure to dealing with financial services ICT audits against a backdrop of global regulation.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence others and drive change.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Current and appropriate working rights in Australia
