The Opportunity

As our Lead Backend Developer, you'll lead the technology of the team for one of our biggest apps - Music/Data spearheading technology strategy, merging technical depth with visionary leadership to enhance user experiences and extend our market footprint. Your role involves guiding a nimble tech team through both re-engineering and novel development initiatives, utilizing your proficiency in TypeScript , Node.js , PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, among others. Your direction will catalyze technical breakthroughs while nurturing a culture of collaboration and distinction, critical to our objective of transforming music interaction and discovery.

Your Mission

• Architectural Leadership: Shape and drive the technical roadmap for a leading music insights platform, aligning with strategic goals to push the boundaries of music analytics and user engagement.

• Team Empowerment: Spearhead a specialized tech team, sharing your expertise and passion for software craftsmanship, encouraging innovation, and technical excellence.

• Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the leadership team to seamlessly integrate technology with business objectives, enhancing product capabilities and user experiences.

• Development Mastery: Engage in hands-on coding and system design, code reviews, delivery,ensuring the application of best practices in software development and security.

• Agile Adaptation: Navigate through fast-paced project landscapes, employing agile frameworks to deliver scalable and robust solutions efficiently.

Your Expedition Toolkit

• Advanced Technical Proficiency: 5+ years of experience in TypeScript , Node.js , PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, RabbitMQ, Redis, and high-load backend service development.

• Strong knowledge of Nginx and DevOps for effective infrastructure management.

• Leadership in Tech: Demonstrated excellence in leading and empowering a tech team, expertly balancing hands-on guidance with empowering delegation. Act as a mentor to Senior Developers, fostering their professional development and career growth.

• Agile Advocacy: Exceptional skill in agile methodologies, adept at managing project timelines, and utilizing tools like Jira for project tracking.

• Creative Problem-Solving: Natural innovator, adept at overcoming technical challenges and promoting learning.

• Effective Communication: Superior in conveying technical visions, enhancing teamwork, and aligning with stakeholders.

• Enhance Quality Assurance: Focus on refining testing processes, ensuring code quality, and upholding accessibility and standard methodologies.
• Mobile Development: Solid understanding and some experience like Flutter and front-end frameworks.

• Recruitment Support: Active role in recruitment, identifying skill gaps to attract top talent.
• You have aProfessional Proficiency in English language. Knowledge of Russian or Hebrew Languageis a nice to have.
