Make an Impact by:

  • Lead and supervise the Broadcast TechOps team, ensuring that all technical operations run smoothly.
  • Manages and supports three broadcast data centres onsite/remotely.
  • Service recovery of live services – headend, ingest and playout.
  • Event management – Major events (EPL, FIFAWC, EURO, national significant broadcast event).
  • Ops excellence – IT Disaster Recovery Plan exercise, IMDA regulatory compliance, and Security audit compliance.
  • Managing live content/sports event acquisition via satellite, fibre and IP delivery.
  • Work closely with the project, operations, and external parties in overseeing technical aspects of projects and system issue resolution.
  • Planning and implementing system upgrades to keep the broadcasting technology up to date. Perform system administration tasks such as system hardening, patch installation and inventory.
  • Maintaining records and documentation related to equipment, maintenance, and technical procedures.
  • Developing and implementing disaster recovery and emergency response plans to ensure minimal downtime in case of technical failures.

 

Skills for Success:

  • Degree in Electronics or Computer Engineering.
  • 5 years’ experience in the broadcasting/media industry. Preferably working as Support Engineer/Team Lead/Supervisor.
  • Operation and maintenance of various SDI and IP - based broadcast systems (e.g. audio/video processors; audio/video broadcast monitor; graphics; subtitling; video routers; video transcoding; and video compression/transport)
  • Experience in networking preferably CCNA certified.
  • To ensure 24/7 availability of the TechOps team, to cover shift when required.
