Summary of Position Teladoc Health Canada supports patients through several service areas, including general telehealth services, expert medical services, and mental health services as well as by bringing support to hospitals and health systems (HHS). We have growing needs across the country, increasingly partnering provincially to offer publicly funded services in an integrated manner. We are currently focused on further building up our multidisciplinary care teams in BC. Clinical engagement, quality, patient safety and innovation are crucial pillars to our overall mission towards the evolution of impactful, connected healthcare. Nurse Practitioners (NPs) will primarily focus on supporting patients presenting to Teladoc Health’s platforms. In this engaging & dynamic environment, you will be relied upon to simultaneously manage both scheduled & on demand consults, primarily virtually with some in-person follow ups as required. All healthcare providers have a shared responsibility for matters pertaining to clinical quality and patient safety (including cultural safety), clinician wellness and health equity (bringing attention to issues faced by rural Canadians and underserved populations, particularly indigenous communities).   • Diagnose and treat patients presenting to Teladoc Health’s platforms
  • Manage both scheduled & on demand consults, primarily virtually with some in-person consults & follow ups as well
  • Escalate cases as required to designated shift leader and/or medical leadership team
  • Participate in huddles and handover sessions at start and end of shifts, as needed
  • Collaborate closely with medical, nursing and management teams internally and externally
  • Support ongoing needs of patients via coordination of necessary care with virtual and local teams
  • Advance relationship-based culture within our comprehensive care teams (physicians, nurses, allied health, managers)
  • Support team members across programs via other duties, as reasonably requested

  • Those who are passionate regarding the delivery of high-quality and safe medical care
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records and computer-based applications
Qualifications Expected for Position
  • Graduate training (Masters) as nurse practitioner (NP), with primary care focus
  • 1+ year(s) of direct clinical experience as independent NP
  • Current and unrestricted registration as a Nurse Practitioner in Canada (in good standing) - Must be registered with BCCNM, fully licensed as an NP in BC
  • Experience and demonstrated success working with diverse primary care clinical team members
  • Experience working in the digital health sector preferred
  • Must be currently residing in BC province
  • Must be currently in a BC physical practice: Affiliated with a UPCC, walk-in, and/or working at a primary care clinic, with the majority of your direct patient care being provided on an annual basis at a physical clinic(s)
