Sr. Staff Accountant - PH

ABOUT THE ROLE: Reporting directly to the CFO, the Staff Accountant is a key functional expert in the corporate finance and accounting department in the organization.  This includes consolidating financial results, monthly forecasting, and coordinating the Annual Operating Plan. This role will lead through influence and provide guidance, support, and assistance to the finance team.  In addition, the Staff Accountant will be relied on by the CFO and Executive Leadership Team to ensure the integrity and accuracy of the financials as well as speed and efficiency of data management, financial reporting, and continuous improvement in data analytics and reporting. • participate in the operations and development of the company’s finance department including creating and reviewing policies, budgeting, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures
• prepare quarterly and annual account reconciliations, monitor and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting
• create strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company’s status and financial forecasts
• provide all necessary information to outside accountants in conjunction with the filing of federal, state, and local tax returns for the business and trusts
• develop recommendations and implement improvements to internal controls processes striving to build a more robust Accounting and Finance department
• participate as a strategic business partner on cross-functional teams to help drive organization efficiency, effectiveness, and continuous improvement
• provide accounting and financial guidance to Operating Companies and CFO including developing accounting talent in the organization  
• perform other duties related to the role

• have 5-8 years of progressive financial experience
• be an expert in Quickbooks Online
• have a fully functional and up-to-date computer with which to perform duties
• be willing to install next generation endpoint protection on the computer
• be willing to install and use a time keeping app while performing duties with the company
• be a current resident of the Philippines and can perform work from there
• be willing to work during US Pacific business hours (8am-5pm PST which corresponds to 12am-9am PH time)
• be willing to work up to 40 hours a week
• be willing to learn and grow including asking the right questions to get the job done
