Job Purpose and Impact
The Cocoa Junior Trader will help generate income and control risks for the Cocoa & Chocolate trading desk based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.Key Accountabilities
- Help monitor the trading strategies and books for the Cocoa & Chocolate desk based on hedged positions. Qualified candidates may execute certain trades under supervision from senior team members.
- Assist the team to reconcile positions, routine or repetitive profit and loss estimates and other reports as needed on a daily basis.
- Monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.
- Help implement sales strategies and preparation for customer presentations, as needed.
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Other minimum qualifications may apply
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Ideally 1-2 years of related working experience
- Passion in trading and willing to work late shift due to trading hours (up to 1am daily)
