GENERAL SUMMARY The Senior Social Worker is a full-time Social Worker who oversees the social work team to lead and direct social work interventions, implement activities and evaluate overall social impact. This position works with an inter-disciplinary team including community resources to increase social interaction and reduce social isolation. This position will lead case consultations and ensure a high standard of service and professional practice is delivered to clients, with due consideration towards relevant legistations, governance and ethical matters. ROLES & RESPONSBILITIES Case Management 1. Lead and facilitate case conferences within SRSF and with external stakeholders 2. Oversee range of social work activities such as intake assessments, allocation of rooms, referrals to external/community stakeholders, partners and resources, discharge planning 3. Provide casework and counselling services for Authorised Tenants/Authorised Occupiers with more complex or higher risks/needs 4. Vet and approve all social work records and documentation, ensure compliance with PDPA and due confidentiality is observed Administration and Facilitation of programmes 1. Oversee the planning of a holistic programme for Authorised Tenants / Authorised Occupiers including individual support, groupwork, psycho-education etc. 2. Oversee the organisation and facilitation of programmes to build Authorised Tenants / Authorised Occupiers’ stability, self-reliance and social mobility – e.g. community empowerment and townhall meetings, art and creative expression, community gardens, life skills workshops etc Conflict Resolution 1. Supervise and closely follow-up on the resolution of disputes between Authorised Tenants / Occupiers including making the necessary referrals to other service providers where necessary. 2. To prepare the necessary reports to internal and external stakeholders where necessary 3. To update Administrative & Operations Office for their documentation including action taken and recommendations Management of Opportunities for Volunteerism 1. Oversee the organisation of volunteer initiatives within the SRSF community 2. Encourage Authorised Tenants / Authorised Occupiers to participate in local volunteering, fostering a sense of purpose and contribution Audit 1. Monitor progress against relevant KPIs as required by funder and other stakeholders 2. Plan, implement and review processes to meet the achievement of KPIs and MSRs as required by funders 3. Ensure proper documentation is maintained, updated and reviewed on a regular basis for audit Stakeholder relationships 1. Collaborate with other teams in fulfilling global objectives of the programme 2. Manage communications and feedback from stakeholders and team members 3. Build collaborative working relationships with partnering agencies 4. Act as subject matter expert regarding the social work aspect of SRSF, provide guidance in the area of social work for SRSF management and colleagues Advocate for relevant social issues pertinent to users served by Single-Room-Shared-Facilities (SRSF) including initiating and participating in research endeavours QUALIFICATIONS Education And Experience 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work 2. Minimum 8 years’ experience in Social Work 3. Digitally fluent; familiar with digital tools for basic data visualization, basic data analysis, report-writing and presentation 4. Knowledge of relevant social issues such as homelessness, poverty preferred Other Requirements 1.
