Key Responsibilities:- Conceptualize, design, and analyze mechanical systems for material handling equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
- Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks) to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings for manufacturing.
- Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical engineers, software developers, and project managers, to integrate mechanical solutions seamlessly into overall system designs.
- Provide technical expertise and support throughout the project lifecycle, from concept development to installation and commissioning.
- Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes to meet design specifications and cost targets.
- Prepare comprehensive documentation, including design specifications, technical reports, and user manuals.
- Maintain accurate records of design iterations and changes throughout the development process.
The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in logistics automation or supply chain solutions.
- Strong analytical and technical skills in Microsoft Excel for precise cost estimation.
- Experience using design software tools (AutoCad, Inventor)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
