Job DescriptionSupporting a major project in Ottawa

Leading a team of like-minded individuals to drive the best value and opportunities for the client whether that be through design or construction.

Working with our reporting and scheduling teams to develop clear and concise monthly reports that showcase all aspects of the project.

Driving packages of work through from inception of package through to completion including working with our estimating team, seeing it through procurement and then monitoring the works on site.

Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages.

Providing educated guidance and insight on all aspects of the project to drive improvement and efficiencies.

Assisting in research related to construction market conditions throughout Canada, including analysis of official published data.

Quality Control - Ensuring compliance with quality standards and participation in ISO audits.

Assisting on feasibility studies and costings as well as reviewing and writing procurement reports.

Assessing and validating design as well as post contract cost changes, where applicable referring major changes to line manager.

Inputting into value engineering and life cycle costing.

Assisting the Commission Manager ensuring commissions are managed to the right quality standards and are completed efficiently and on time.

Assisting the Commission Manager to ensure service delivery on commissions is in line with the conditions of appointment.

Assisting our Associate Directors / Directors in developing new business opportunities with existing and new Turner & Townsend clients.

Knowledge management - Ensuring that key information and learning generated is inputted into internal databases and shared.

QualificationsEligible to work in Canada with Reliability Clearance with the Government of Canada

+10 years of relevant experienceincluding working on at least two major projects or programs

A recognizedpost-secondary education certificate, diploma or degree University Degree in Quantity Surveying or related field

Membership of Relevant Professional Organizations such as the Canadian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (CIQS)and/or ; The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS); and/or Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (AACE)

AdvancedKnowledge of and experience using CostX is an asset but not essential
