BBW is recruiting for an experienced, professional and passionate event planner to work with a small team of event and association experts who is a third-party conference and event planning company. Working remotely with two in-person meetings each month in the GTA, you will be challenged daily to work with senior leadership as you learn and grow. Ideally you're located in the Toronto area. Responsibilities:with clients to understand their event requirements, objectives, and budget constraints.and manage event timelines, budgets, and logistics to ensure successful execution.and negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and venues to secure the best deals and services for each event.all aspects of event setup, including registration, signage, audiovisual equipment, and catering.event registration processes, including attendee registration, ticket sales, and guest list management.onsite event operations, including setup, teardown, and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.regularly with clients to provide updates on event planning progress and address any concerns or changes.with post-event activities, such as attendee surveys, data analysis, and reporting, to evaluate event success and identify areas for improvement.up to date on industry trends and best practices in event planning to enhance our services and offerings.Qualifications:degree and/or a certificate or diploma in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field is considered an asset. (e.g., Durham College, George Brown, Seneca College, Humber College).years+ of experience in event planning and execution, preferably with a focus on conferences, trade shows, or not-for-profit events.organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.in event management software and Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).of not-for-profit organizations and the unique considerations involved in planning events for this sector is highly desirable.to work evenings, weekends, and travel as needed to support event activities.in event planning or related field (e.g., CMP, CSEP, DES) is a plus.Benefits:Health, drug, dental, and vision benefits.
