Temporary (9 months) / Temporaire (9 mois) Position Summary:The Senior Advisor - Financial Performance, reporting to the Director of Finance, is a key player in the financial and accounting functions of the company. He/she will assist the Director of Finances in planning, operating and supervising all accounting activities, data entry, payments, financial aspects and treasury functions. The Senior Advisor - Financial Performance will help lead the preparation of budgets and forecasts, structure and track financial results, ensure the accuracy of financial statements, compliance with regulations, lead the financial audits and provide strategic financial guidance to support business growth. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Financial Reporting & Analysis·       Conduct regular financial, planning, and analysis to provide insights into business performance and trends.·       Carry out relevant analyses and reports according to operational priorities.·       Prepare comprehensive variance analysis for senior management.·       Assist in the month-end closing process.Compliance & Risk Management·       Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, tax, laws, and industry standards.·       Implement and maintain effective internal controls to mitigate financial risks within and outside of the Finance department.·       Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.·       Assist in the MD&A preparation. ·       Conduct the redaction of various accounting memorandums.·       Acts as a technical resource and advisor to the Director of Finance (must have a very good knowledge of IFRS standards).Treasury·       Review cash flow to optimize working capital and ensure liquidity.·       Help oversee treasury functions, including banking relationships and cash management (approve outgoing payments).·       Review cash flow forecast to optimize working capital and ensure liquidity.Budgeting & Forecasting·       Support and have the opportunity to lead the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial goals.·       Maintain financial forecasting models to support strategic decision-making.·       Monitor and analyze variances between actual and budgeted financial results, providing recommendations and insights to departmental heads and senior management.Financial Strategy & Planning·       Provide strategic financial insights to support the development of long-term business plans.·       Evaluate diverse opportunities and provide financial analysis for decision-making.Team Leadership & Development·       Act as a leader in the finance team; mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.·       Foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure financial considerations are integrated into decision-making processes.·       Promotes, personifies and contributes to the improvement of the company's values ​​and mission.Qualifications:Required·       Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent experience.·       Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.·       5+ years' experience in a similar role.·       Knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.·       Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.·       Hands-on approach.·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.·       Bilingualism (French and English) both orally and in writing.·       In depth knowledge of IFRS standards.
