Some of What's in it for You!New and freshly renovated offices, designed and built to the LEED Silver environmental standardSummer FridaysPaid Personal DaysEmployee Loyalty Reward ProgramGenerous welcome giftCompany eventsAs the Fit Technician, you will be responsible for developing quality garments that reflect our brand's esthetic and quality standards.Some of What You'll Do:Create initial spec based on design intent, sketch, sample and/or block patternReview technical design sketches to ensure garment construction is attainable and representative of patternMeasure and review sample at every stage, in preparation of fit sessionFit on live model and mannequinIdentify fit discrepancies and provide feedback to design during fit sessionsCommunicate corrections to factory clearly, using available tools, pattern, illustrator, excelMaintain accurate and up to date gradingEnsure superior quality of garmentsManage workload which may involve overlapping seasonsCollaborate with peers in design, tech and productionSome of What You'll Need:5 + years of experience as a fit technicianKnowledge of garment construction, fit, pattern making and gradingKnowledge of fabrics, wovens and knitsStrong knowledge of Excel and IllustratorKnowledge of menwear and womens wear apparelOuterwear is an assetExperience in Premium/Luxury a plusSome of Who You Are:Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environmentEnergetic, passionate, and results-driven team playerExcellent attention to detailAttitude to problem solvingGiven the international nature of our business and of this position, the candidate will be required to communicate effectively, on a regular basis, with various stakeholders (co-workers, colleagues, customers, suppliers, etc.) located in Canada outside Quebec or throughout the world.
