As a creative and organized designer, you will be comfortable with meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while supporting the Design Director in presentations and sourcing new fabrics.What You'll Do:Keeps up to date with emerging fashion trends in fabrics, colours, silhouettes and target market needs.Adapts existing designs for mass production and required price points.Recommend sourcing and selection of necessary fabrics and trims.Work closely with the Design Director to execute the needs and direction for line development.Produce sketches and accompanying colour, construction, fabric, and trim requirements.Create graphics for the required design aesthetic.Ensure all dates on the merchandising calendar are metCoach technical designer on approvals of lab dips, fabrics, trims, and artwork whenever required.Maintain all approval libraries and identify all original samples efficiently.Participate in fit sessions when requiredEnsure the integrity of all relevant computer file folders (picture folders, pictures from shopping trips, etc.)Work collaboratively with team members to ensure all deadlines for projects are met.What You Need:5 years of experience as a DesignerSleepwear experience highly desirableThorough knowledge of Illustrator and PhotoshopProficient in MS Office SuiteLicense knowledge (Disney/Marvel etc.) a plusExcellent product, fabric and garment construction knowledgeUnderstanding of mass market production and designMust be able to meet deadlines and work well under pressure.Can produce graphics for the design aesthetic required.Ability to work collaboratively with team members to ensure all deadlines for projects are met.Degree in Fashion DesignBilingualStrong team player Wholesale Apparel and Sewing Supplies,Apparel & Fashion,Apparel Manufacturing
