Senior Data Analyst | 100% Remote |£35,000-£45,000 KDR is excited to be partnering with a leading Commodities Data Analytics company who are on the lookout for their next Data Analyst. The Company Our client, a global so ftware company providing innovative solutions in data management, data analysis, and business automation within the energy/commodity trading space. Due to ongoing success, they’re seeking a talented Business Data Analyst to join their dynamic Consulting team focusing on their bluechip clients within energy/commodity trade or risk management operations. The Role As a Senior Data Analyst you will play a pivotal role in driving the successful delivery of high-quality data projects. Here's what you'll be doing:
- Become an expert in our client’s data management/analytics platform, in support of clients that are active in the global energy and commodities markets (oil, gas, power, metals, agriculture etc).
- Identify prospect/client requirements, design/implement data-driven workflows that leverage our client’s products and services.
- Advise on / design integrations between our clients products and complimentary systems/applications e.g. Power BI, Python, ETRM systems, data lakes etc.
- Support clients on data feeds - sources, structure, industry standards, publication conventions, deployments, testing
- Support clients on analytics/transformations on time series / futures / options data
- Degree in quantitative/mathematics/statistics field
- Ideally have familiarity with data/analytics specific to energy, finance, insurance, commodities, FX or interest rates i.e. derivative contracts (futures/options), historical settlements etc.
- Strong technical skills in SQL
- Foundation skills in IT/coding e.g. Python, VBA, APIs or others.
- Ability to integrate, connect, and thrive in a predominantly WFH arrangement
