Job Description – Compliance & Regulatory Risk Officer Location :Remote/Hybrid Fulltime Payac Services Company Limited by Guarantee (“Payac”) is now inviting applications for the position of Compliance & Regulatory Risk Officeron a remote/hybrid basis. Payac is leading innovation in the Credit Union sector. As a service provider with a proven track record and long-term partnerships with market leaders, Payac is the primary choice as a payments partner for Credit Unions. Payac is a company established by Credit Unions (“CUs”) to provide current accounts, debit cards and related services including SEPA payments via our third- party providers. The company assists CUs in getting set up to offer Current Account Services, SEPA payments or migrate from their existing SEPA payments provider together with providing ongoing support for payment account services. Payac is ISO27001 certified. Payac is now seeking to appoint a Compliance & Regulatory Risk Officer, to assume responsibility for the management of the company’s Compliance Management system and Regulatory Risk as it continues to grow and expand its business offerings. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with senior management and play a key role in the design, development, management and oversight of the Company’s Compliance Framework and Regulatory Risk Management. The position would suit a person experienced Compliance ideally with experience within the financial services sector who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role in a growing organisation

KeyResponsibilities

  • Lead out a robust compliance framework for the organisation.
  • Ensuretheorganisationmeetsalllegalandregulatoryrequirements,e.g.AML,PSD2, GDPR in conjunction with the Compliance team.
  • Provideoversight,monitoring,andindependentchallengeof CUprocessesto ensure compliance with policies.
  • IdentifyandimplementimprovementstotheComplianceFramework.
  • Overseereporting requirementsto third-party service providers.
  • Provide guidance on company projects as required.
  • Providing reports to the Leadership Team on ongoing activities and identifying on-going improvements to the Compliance framework. Monitoring and management of internal and external risks that could affect the company and Credit Unions including risks to its employees, members, reputation, and assets, and assisting with managing and mitigating those risks.
  • Performing any other reasonable task assigned by the Chief Compliance Officer.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a great team to contribute to overall project goals

Thesuccessfulcandidateshouldideallyhavethefollowingattributes:

  • A minimum of 5 years’experience working in a monitoring or compliance role in a financial services organisation.Arelevantqualification would be adistinct advantage.
  • KnowledgeofIrishfinancialservices’regulatoryframeworkandcreditunionlegaland regulatory requirements would be an advantage.
  • Excellentinterpersonal,projectmanagementandcommunicationskills.
  • Abilitytoworkwithinitiativeandaspartofanagileteamandindependentlywithina teamenvironment.
  • Exceptional candidates who do not meet above criteria will be considered.
Salaryiscommensuratewithexperience. Occasional travel throughout Ireland required and work outside standard working hours.
