The Sales Director will be responsible for managing sales operations and developing strategic plans to meet revenue targets with OEM customers. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of sales success, and experience working with automotive manufacturers or automotive tier-one customers. Candidate should have strong understanding of electric vehicles segment.  Key Objectives and Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers at target accounts.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing and new customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful product launches and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage the sales pipeline, forecast revenue, and report on sales activity and results.
  • Attend industry trade shows and events to represent the company and network with potential customers.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
  • Partner with customers to understand their business needs and objectives
  • Understand category-specific landscapes and trends
  • Led the organization with strong linkages with all aspects of the automobile team including the plant/
  • Develop commercial awareness of the market and partner with local communities, businesses, and vehicle owners to create opportunities for growth
  • Collaborate with business partners to execute strategy for marketing initiatives, charging infrastructure, delivery center logistics, and real estate expansion. 
  • Source, recruit, hire, and onboard top talent. Lead, develop, coach, and motivate high-performing teams. Directly manage a team of people-leaders across field retail, service-plus, and dealership Centers.
  • Reinforce a culture of leadership and team excellence: training standards, career pathing, succession planning, talent acquisition, and employee retention
  • Spend time in both stores and delivery centers providing coaching and real-time feedback to management and employees. Set clear team targets and individual goals; hold teams accountable to measures of excellence and key performance indicators.
  • Proactively mediate and resolve any customer concerns or escalations that require additional leadership support.
Required skills, qualifications, and experience
  • Major in sales, marketing, or a related field.
  • Played a key leadership role in the automobile sector and has national and international experience
  • Minimum of 10- 15 years of experience in automobile sales. Strong understanding of electric vehicles market is essential for this role. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive industry, including industry trends, and customer needs.
  • Ability to analyze sales data and develop sales forecasts and reports.
  • Willingness to travel.
