We are assisting our client, part of a global technology and engineering group , look for suitable candidates for the role of Strategic Planner to support the Head of Strategic Planning on all ongoing assignments relating to strategy projects, technology & product strategy & road-mapping, corporate planning cycle and stakeholder engagement. A key member of the Strategic Planning eco-system, the Strategic Planner will work closely with teams within Strategic Planning community of the business units to develop, frame and support execution of business strategies and deep dives at both business and/or group level for sustainable success. Job Responsibilities

  • Study, develop and execute strategic projects, including market horizon scanning, detailed business analysis, discounted cashflow analysis and pilot project kickoff, to bring up strategic business case for the continued success and sustainability of the company.
  • Drive the company strategy, including 5-year strategy plans and 1-year budget cycle , through close collaboration with Group Finance . This would include developing the strategic framing and working in conjunction with the respective businesses and divisions to develop and sharpen their strategies to achieve success.
  • Build up and give presentations to the appropriate leaders and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate, consolidate and integrate the different sources of primary and secondary information for internal & external stakeholder communication (e.g. Town Hall, upward reporting, external stakeholder engagement.)
  • At times, facilitate, coordinate and front the group-level strategic partnerships with other global peers that will help create new capabilities for global businesses.
  • Support and drive cadence as required
  • Coordinate internal department and strategic community events to share best practices, further thought leadership and upskill overall strategic capabilities of the group
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in Finance/Accounting/Business/Engineering or related discipline
  • CFA, CPA will be an advantage
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, comfortable working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-paced environment and working in an ambiguous environment, bringing a structured approach
  • Track record in driving and delivering strategy projects with around 2 years’ experience in a strategy consulting, corporate strategy roles with some business development experience.
  • Experience in technology/deep technology would be a plus
  • Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong stakeholder management, able to work well across all teams within the Group such as sales, product, technology, finance, etc.
  • Strong influencer with track record of influencing decisions and opinions of others especially senior stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal communicator, with ability to share and convince listeners of your views in an impactful manner
  • Passionate about driving change, having a curious mind to challenge status quo and provide innovative solutions and different perspectives
