Due to our continued growth in the region Jacobs are hiring a GIS Engineer. You would be involved in a wide variety of engineering tasks on large scale infrastructure projects including detailed engineering and infrastructure master plans. The role is required to complement the progressive Innovative Systems team. Working with a range of data capture, analysis, mapping, visualization and GIS development & automation technologies, you will provide critical input and geospatial solutions to delivering projects on time and budget. With exposure to an expanding range of market sectors and an extensive knowledge pool, you will deliver dynamic, innovative solutions to internal and external clients. Ability and flexibility to function as part of multi-disciplinary teams located across a number of offices is essential. Here's What You'll Need: As a successful candidate you will: • Possess at least 10 – 12 years of experience in delivering services in the field of Geospatial and GIS • Be an expert user of ArcGIS suite of software's and extensions • Be able to independently perform thematic/cartographic mapping and analysis • Perform GIS data creation, data edits, topology, map authoring and publishing • Perform spatial data exchange tasks like data conversion from engineering design data of Autodesk and Bentley formats to GIS formats and vice versa • Explore and analyze design data in native platforms of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Revit for extracting data and information needed for developing project GIS databases • Identify geospatial data requirements, inventory & review of input GIS data and QC/QC of project GIS deliverables • Perform advanced data management tasks to facilitate Spatial Data Infrastructures for complex projects and multi-platform delivery • Work with ArcGIS Enterprise Portal and ArcGIS Online platforms • Develop ArcGIS desktop tools and customizing/extending GIS web and mobile applications using ArcGIS APIs of Arc Objects, python and JavaScript • Be able to develop widgets and applications for ArcGIS Experience Builder, Survey123, Field Maps, Operations Dashboards and Insights • Work with geospatial applications and datasets of LiDAR, remote sensing, photogrammetry (Drone) and bathymetry • Excellent communication and teamwork skills • A problem solver with good degree (2:1 minimum) qualification in a relevant discipline • Exemplary focus, ambition and attention to detail.
