In the role of Sr. Cell Research Scientist, you will be joining a world-class battery cell R&D team that is delivering innovative solutions to tough problems. Responsibilities include:Leading and implementing internal and customer battery prototyping and testing projects including stakeholder communication, experimental design, battery testing, analysis, reporting, and meeting end of program deliverablesScheduling and delegating tasks to other members of the project teamRegularly providing technical feedback and project updates to Lead Cell Research ScientistWorking in a dry room and glovebox to mix electrolyte formulations, build coin cells and fill prototype cells, and perform diagnostic disassembly of cellsWorking with internal and external data tools, analyzing data and generating reportsHold regular meetings to discuss results, schedules, and project plansMeeting with internal and external stakeholders to discuss resultsRegular maintenance, troubleshooting, and documentation of experimental equipment and proceduresOther duties as assigned You are:A graduate with a master's degree in chemistry, physics, or related engineering program (required)A professional with a minimum of 3 years of work experience in electrochemical or lithium-ion researchExperienced leading a small research teamAble to demonstrate strong data analysis skillsKnowledgeable of common battery testing equipment (Maccor, Neware, Biologic, etc.)A highly motivated self-starter who takes initiativeResourceful when it comes to solving problemsA critical thinker able to manage complex informationAble to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyConfident and able to exercise sound judgmentProficient in Microsoft 365 Extra awesome if you also have: PhD in Chemistry, Physics, or related engineering programExperience with pilot/prototype cell manufacturingScripting knowledge (Python, Matlab, etc.)Experience with design of experiment (DOE) softwareDatabase design experienceProject Management certification (PMP, etc.) One dream.
