Joining Nortera means choosing opportunities to grow together!As the North American leader in ready-to-cook vegetables, we are committed to contributing to the well-being of society by providing access to healthy and sustainable food.Nortera produces major private and retail brands and markets its own brands Arctic Gardens and Del Monte.WHY CHOOSE NORTERA?Competitive salary, annual bonus and vacation policy;Flexible work schedule;Complete range of social benefits (telemedicine) and employee assistance program (EAP);Possibility of contributing to an RRSP with employer contribution;Participation in a volunteer day at the employer's expense;Reimbursement for tuition fees and physical activity;Environment that fosters learning and professional development;Opportunities to work on inspiring projects in a growing company!The Senior Director of Retail Sales (Canada) provides leadership to the sales team, cultivates productive and sustainable relationships with retail partners and identify and develop new sales opportunities in retail branded and private label segments.You will collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer and VP of Retail sales in developing the sales vision and strategy of the Canadian retail channel.You will serve as the main contact for Nortera's retail broker(s) providing guidance and support in their efforts on our behalf.This role will also require building and nurturing strong relationships with all internal stakeholders to evaluate opportunities, align priorities and drive outcomes against Nortera's objectives.THE ROLE:Collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer and the VP of Retail Sales in the development of the go-to-market strategies;Lead the Canadian Retail Sales Team in the implementation and execution of all sales strategies;Private Label - Maintain and defend current market position;Branded - Expand and maximize market penetration;Update VP of Retail Sales on operational and financial sales department objectives;Oversee the management, learning, and career development of Account Managers;Directly coordinate cross-selling and joint marketing initiatives to maximize exposure and profitability;Foster and cultivate positive relations with retail partners to help achieve mutual goals;Build a positive work environment;Offer ideas and practices that improve sales volume, increase distribution, build market share;Mastery of sales processes and Account Manager processes (line review timelines, pricing challenges, shipping challenges, etc..);Managing the Retail Broker in Canada;Develops the growth and/or maintenance strategy for the brands;Aligns the customer marketing function to our sales channels;Optimizes the financial performance of the brand portfolio, the consistency of the range and the quality of communication and advertising plans.PROFILE:College degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the industry;Top-tier communication: Quality & excellent verbal and written communication skills;Ability to drive a sales process from beginning to end;Experience in Private label and Branded a plus;Ability to understand market trends and advise on change in tactics as neededCapacity to manage conflict resolution;Able to recognize white space opportunities and develop a plan to go after them;Mastery of sales processes and Account Manager processes (line review timelines, pricing challenges, shipping challenges, etc..);Experience in negotiations, meeting sales goals, building relationships, responding to customer needs, managing processes, training, engagement, and team coaching;Bilingual English and French (a strong asset).We're looking for people like you!Come grow with Nortera!Although all job applications are considered, only successful applicants will be contacted.
