Job details

About Dyslexia CanadaDyslexia Canada is a national charity dedicated to ensuring that every child in Canada with dyslexia receives a fair and equitable education. Dyslexia in Canada affects an estimated 10-20% of the population, yet many lack understanding of the condition, leading to myths and misconceptions. Without proper support, these children are at a higher risk of mental health issues, substance abuse, and illiteracy in adulthood. Since 2016, Dyslexia Canada has aimed to address this crisis by advocating for recognition of dyslexia, early assessment, evidence-based interventions, and training for educators to ensure all children receive the necessary support. As the only national charity dedicated to dyslexia, Dyslexia Canada provides resources, tools, and programs for families impacted by dyslexia across Canada. Through community support, the organization offers information, webinars, campaigns, podcasts, peer-to-peer support, advocacy for legislative change, and events that bring families together to share experiences and develop strategies for managing dyslexia. By partnering with professional organizations, experts, and advocates, Dyslexia Canada strives to drive systemic change by engaging and educating the public and establishing legislation specific to recognizing and supporting children with dyslexia.
