Position Summary:The Warehouse Supervisor will assist the Distribution Operations Manager to maintain high performance objectives for all departmental standards including safety, timeliness, quality/accuracy, security, and productivity. The Supervisor will work alongside and lead the team of Associates, delegating work and supervising their work, ensuring efficiency of all warehouse staff. In addition, must maintain a healthy and productive work environment, which fosters teamwork and respect for all employees. All workload to be directed by FOX and Distribution Operations Manager. Essential Functions of the Role:Delegate and ensure the execution of daily tasks are completed and deadlines are met.Make corrective action and disciplinary decisions as well as recognize individuals for their achievements.Partner with Human Resources to be involved in the hiring process.Communicate performance expectations to include productivity, attendance, and other performance standards.Organize and conduct necessary training and adhere to safety and legal procedures.Supervise shift allocations and department transfers, ensure efficiency of warehouse staff, and maintain proper functioning of all warehouse tools and equipment.Work side by side with employees daily to maximize performance and throughput.Responsible for all production efforts.Maintain an accurate and productive work environment aimed at consistently achieving high customer service standards.Set priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities.Supervise daily procedures of various departments and/or employees and ensure smooth flow of work.Communicate with various employees, departments, vendors, and others to provide and receive information, resolve questions and issues, and coordinate activities.Act as a bridge for communication between the operations manager and the employees.Operate and instruct others in the operation of material moving equipment, stand up forklift and related vehicles inside the warehouse.Responsible for receiving and counting all inbound shipments; unload and load materials onto or from shipping containers, pallets, racks, and shelves. Determine sequence for loading and unloading shipments for maximum space utilization, safety and damage protection.Perform computer lookup/inquiries to determine product location and/or description.Maintain inventory controls by collecting stock location orders, printing requests, recording amounts of items received, and counting of physical inventory.Operate manual dollies, manual platform lifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and hand tools used in warehouse operations safely and as instructed.Identify obvious damage to equipment and materials through visual inspection.Follow all safety and security procedures.Meet or exceed accuracy and productivity expectations.Assist in other departments of the warehouse as necessary.Responsibilities also include employee training, coaching and to be involved in evaluations for all department employees.Ensure inbound and outbound shipments and inventory are accurate and free of damage.Stock, move, and replenish materials to designated storage area or pick bins, while following our procedures, ensuring system RF traceability, and safely using material moving equipment. Prepare and arrange customer orders for efficient picking and packing. Efficiently pick customer orders from picking bins for shipment, ensuring that the correct number and type of product is picked, and correctly handled.Accurately validate, pack, and ship orders, including pack lists, tags, and VAS requirements as required. Carry or transport orders to shipping locations or trailers. Resolve error resolution for any box or picked order that requires dealing.Conduct and maintain warehouse health, inventory controls, and cycle counts.Work Environment:Must be able to work in a warehouse environment with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variations.Due to forklifts and other equipment traveling through the warehouse, the environment can be noisy, dusty, may emit gas fumes and create excessive vibrations.Physical Demands:Must be able to be move around a large warehouse for 8 or more hours in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Must be able to repetitively lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis. Significant manual dexterity for keying in data for long periods of time.Requires bending, squatting, climbing, and reaching.Prolonged periods of standing and walking on concrete surfaces.Expected Hours of Work:Must be available during operating hours, Monday through Friday 10:30 am to 7:00 pm.Remain flexible with working schedules is required, to include working overtime, evenings, and weekends.Start and end times may vary due to operational needs.Travel: NoneRequired Education, Experience and Skills:2+ years of proven Distribution supervisory experience is desired.Attention to detail and ability to follow directions to meet deadlines.Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent and 0-2 years of related experience. Ability to operate a standup Forklift, and other material moving equipment; Forklift certified a plus.Previous knowledge of RF equipment and onboard computers a plus.Math, reading, and voice comprehension is a must. Must be a quick learner with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and maintain focus and adapt to a variety of challenges.The candidate must have very good written and verbal communication skills and be very capable of regular interaction with all support departments.Computer literate with experience using Microsoft office including Outlook, Word and Excel.Other Duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
