Reporting to the Procurement Manager, in this role you will be responsible for supporting the company procurement strategy, automating day-to-day procurement operations, placing purchase orders and execute timely delivery of products. You will be a pro-active problem solver and interact closely with internal partners in merchandising, logistics and product compliance to ensure the purchased products meet all company requirements. Your areas of responsibility include: vendor management, SKU setup, order placement, cost negotiations, establishing and monitoring ship dates, tracking and improving procurement KPIs. SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:Manage international vendors by routine communications, maintain excellent vendor relations.Be accountable to the end-to-end purchasing process, including but not limited to quotation reviews, price negotiation, order placement, quality assurance and shipment booking. Seek automation opportunity leveraging data management to optimize the process, improve the accuracy, uplift the effectiveness and reduce the cost.Review all vendor quotes that have been approved by Buyers to ensure accuracy and compliance in our company standards.Become a subject matter expert on your categories and ensure accurate setup of new vendors, skus and duty codes and meet product launch deadlines.Prepare and issue purchase orders to vendors, accountable for cost negotiations, payment terms, delivery date, and acknowledgement of order confirmation.Monitor all orders to ensure on time booking and shipping. Expedite late orders as required.Work with cross-functional teams to resolve quality control, payment, and shipping documents issues in a timely manner.Work with 3rd party providers on product test and factory inspections.Prepare and update purchasing reports to support management decisions.Assist in planning and achieving cost/inventory reduction and consolidation goals.Monitor and maintain supplier performance and communicate results.Other duties shall be assigned as required. WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:Postsecondary education with a specialization in Supply Chain, Commerce, Economics, Business Administration, or similar areaAt least 1 year of experience in procurement/supply chainHigh level of sense of urgency, attention to detail and can-do attitudeAbility to learn new systems quickly and effectivelyProven analytical and problem-solving skills, self-starter in automating manual processEffective time management and multi-tasking skillsAdvanced MS Office, including Excel and outlookExperience working with the overseas vendors preferredExcellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skillsAbility to work in a team as well as independently Wholesale,Retail Apparel and Fashion,Wholesale Furniture and Home Furnishings
