We love what we do, and we support the team around us.About the RoleThe Senior Learning & Development Specialist is responsible for the development of our training programs and other learning interventions and will play a critical role supporting our growth strategy in building effective and efficient onboarding and continuous learning. This role is hands on and involves working with various SMEs to develop new programs, content, and procedures as well as presenting on learning and development initiatives. To succeed in this role, you must have high initiative and good communication skills, advocate for improvements to our learning strategy and devise creative solutions to problems. You must also be a fast learner in both technical and business domains.Reporting to the VP of Services, you will focus initially on internal training programs, ensuring staff across the company have a consistently high level of knowledge on our software and the airline industry. Building on this foundation, you will evaluate our customer-facing learning strategy and make targeted improvements and/or larger design changes to ensure customers get maximum value from the software.What You Will DoEvaluate existing learning and development programs and identify areas for improvement or expansion.Given high-level goals, design and execute a plan for quickly improving current programs and creating new ones, beginning with product training for internal staff.Create training programs, content, evaluations, and other program elements as needed.Deliver training, sometimes in collaboration with product experts from other teams, across different modalities (in-person, virtual, etc).Provide regular updates to management on progress against the plan and program results.Work together with other teams, including Implementation and Product, to obtain the necessary product expertise and to get input into learning focus areas.Develop a solid understanding of the product, improving it over time, in order to deliver training adequately.Foster a collaborative and positive team atmosphere, assisting other teams with their objectives where appropriate and getting their input into training.About YouSeveral years of experience designing and implementing learning and development programs including:>>>> Reporting and tracking learning and development metrics.>>>> Working with various learning formats, including in-person instructor-led training, virtual training, self-directed learning, microlearning.>>>> Explaining and applying adult learning best practices and instructional design methods.>>>> Designing effective evaluation (formative and summative) and selecting appropriate evaluation methods.>>>> Performing stakeholder analysis and needs assessment.>>>> Creating clear and practical learning objectives.Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience presenting to senior management.Excellent presentation skills; experience delivering prepared training sessions and facilitating workshops or other interactive training.Relentless commitment to excellent client service, especially quality standards, and continuous improvement.High initiative - driven to identify problems and opportunities independently and devise proposals for improvement.History of quickly learning new software platforms and/or new industries.
