Ranked by various industry analysts a leading platform SimplifyVMS continues to evolve and be the pioneer for the larger extended workforce industry.SimplifyVMS is a very sophisticated multi-tenant SAAS HR Tech product built on a complex microservices architecture. Looking for a resource who has worked on sophisticated SAAS platforms or microservices products. Experience working with global teams would be a big plus. Should be able to own workstreams within the platform and be responsible for it end to end to deliver outstanding outcomes. Our clients are large enterprise Fortune 500/Global 2000 companies and need complex engineering design to meet their expectations. Role & Responsibilities• Accountable for Simplify's cloud environments and application 24x7 support, reliability, performance, and compliance• Define and implement effective cloud infrastructure, services, and applications monitoring and emergency alerting• Responsible for maintaining the cybersecurity of all cloud environments, including compliance and audits, access control and implementation of best practices• Work with software developers, security operations, software architecture, support, platform, and other cross-functional teams on company priorities and roadmap planning for a rapidly growing customer base• Lead the cloud platform team, which has sub-teams that build and maintain the platform services, DevOps/Infrastructure, and security• Forecast and monitor cloud resources utilization and associated cost• Develop, enhance, and support a set of integrated platform services for engineering teams to leverage in releasing high quality software to customers• Ensure that the team is following best practices for cloud-based architecture and DevOps methodologies• Ensure that platform uptime and responsiveness meet internal and external SLAsQualifications • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience• Experience as an engineering leader in enterprise SaaS, especially in startup environments• 10+ years of experience and a proven record of success in managing production cloud operations for enterprise SaaS companies in AWS• 7+ years of experience and a proven record of success in implementing DevSecOps practices• 7+ years of proven technical skills in Python/Java, experience designing microservices architecture, databases, developed scalable data-driven platforms, cloud cost optimization, third-party API integrations, SSO• 7+ years of proven high-performance team management experience with demonstrated skills including coaching, feedback, direction, support, and resource allocation• Strong analytical skills and solid grounding in engineering fundamentals Software Development
