Senior UX/UI Designer

This is a full-time, permanent role in Calgary, AB (Hybrid) OverviewJotson is an energy-tech company that empowers users to manage their energy consumption, costs, and carbon footprint. Established in early 2023, Jotson is an early-stage startup, and we are seeking a Senior UX/UI Designer to join our core team and mature Jotson's product design capabilities. This is a unique role for an experienced, talented, and driven individual that will enjoy the energy of an early-stage startup.  What you'll doYou will manage and lead Jotson's product designs, including:Collaborate with the team to drive design vision and strategy that meets the needs of userslead customer discovery process and develop user insights that uncover customer pain pointsuse knowledge of synthesizing research to define gaps in usability, customer desires, and strategic opportunitiescommunicate design solutions by creating user flows, prototypes, and designs for intuitive mobile and web-based user experienceselevate Jotson's internal design practices and processes research latest UX/UI trends, tools, and technologies and incorporate them into design workflowscreate a structured approach to maintain design systems, style guides, and UI librarieswork with staff, contractors etc., as required, to progress the design and meet timelineswork closely with product owner and participate in product planning activitiescollaborate with development team, and integrate them into design workflows and processesperform user acceptance and usability testing prior to release to achieve product quality targetstranslate the Jotson brand experience to its productsbe able to drive results independently and lead strategic design conversations with the teamdesign and prototype complex workflows in FigmaWhat you bringYou are an experienced product designer with 7+ years' experience in creating mobile and web-based products and have a strong understanding of effective user experiences and user interface design.
