Esri Canada has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Financial Analyst based out of the Corporate Head Office in Toronto. Reporting to the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, you will assist in in the effective delivery of financial plans, management reporting analyses including variance and risk analyses, performance metrics, and other decision support information, consistently meeting the expectations of stakeholders, in accordance with the ongoing business priorities and strategies of the company. Financial Analyst Responsibilities include:To be knowledgeable with respect to ESRI Canada products and services, industry issues and trends, accounting standards and controls, enterprise systems and decision support tools related the effective delivery of management reporting and analysis.Provide financial and business case modeling support, including modeling of new business projects and strategic initiatives.Prepare return on investment (ROI) analyses, and support business case and scenario development for continuous improvement initiatives.Assist and support in the design, collection, analysis, and reporting of financial and non-financial Corporate Performance Management metrics including internal and external key performance indicators (KPIs) across all significant business activities.Provide support in the preparation of financial plans including an annual budget, forecasts, and latest estimates.Analyze actual variances from such plans, then proactively explain the findings and implications thereof in review meetings. Such review meetings include monthly Region reviews, quarterly Support department reviews, and a monthly executive review. Generate product/service, customer, supplier and vertical market profitability analysis including sensitivity analysis modelling.Help compile and publish the monthly management reporting package for executives.Provide actionable analysis of the business, including identifying business trends and opportunities, identifying business drivers, correlations, and effectively communicating the forward-looking implications of the findings.Provide assistance and input to the design and implementation of improved planning management reporting, and analysis functions in across all systems used by the business. Specific skill requirements:More than 3 years of experience as an Accountant / AnalystCPA or MBA Designation or working towardsUniversity Degree in Business Competencies in the following are essential:Experience building a budget with multiple departmentsExperience working with an ERP systemExperience delivering actionable analysisStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal relationship building and collaboration skillsAdvanced knowledge of MS ExcelCurious, detailed, intuitive, and insightfulProactive and self-motivated to discover and explain disparities, and to feed the company's continuous improvement.
