Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior JavaScript Engineer to join our dynamic team in Toronto, Canada. As a pivotal member of our development team, you will be instrumental in creating innovative solutions and operational interfaces for our clients, focusing on data visualization and web applications. Our hybrid work environment includes in-office collaboration on Mondays and Tuesdays, with the flexibility to work from home for the remainder of the week.We are looking for candidates that live in Toronto, Canada.Key Responsibilities:Design, develop, and implement highly responsive user interface components using JavaScript frameworks, particularly d3.js and Vue.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze large complex datasets and develop advanced visualization tools.Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring web design is user-friendly and meets modern standards.Lead projects from conception to completion, while handling the intricacies of data visualization and front-end design.Mentor junior engineers and review code to ensure high-quality standards and best practices are maintained.Stay abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages, continuously advancing your skills and contributing to innovation within the team.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.Minimum of 3 years experience in JavaScript development, specifically with extensive experience in d3.js and Vue.Proven track record of developing operational interfaces and implementing them in a professional setting.Strong proficiency in front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and AJAX.Extensive knowledge of utilizing gitDemonstrated ability to take large, complex datasets and visualize them in new and innovative ways using d3.Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a dynamic and challenging environment.Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively with other team members.Must be able to provide examples of past projects showcasing data visualization and operational interfaces.Desirable Skills:Bonus points for experience with Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
