Your New EmployerOur client is a global private investment management firm overseeing a significant real estate portfolio and has offices in Vancouver, London, Hong Kong, Singapore, and Shanghai. In connection with the continued growth of their Canadian investments, which have been active for more than 30 years, they are seeking a self-motivated, skilled, and detail-oriented mid-Level Asset Manager to join our team in Vancouver.Your New RoleThis is a newly created role that will provide asset management and investment decision making support to the group's existing real estate business in Canada, including commercial and residential income and development stage properties. The role will report to the Director, Canadian Real Estate based in Vancouver.The Asset Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining individual asset plans for each property, supervising all daily property operations (including liaising with external property managers, vendors, and leasing agents), and reporting on asset performance. As a main point of contact for the industry you will be collaborate with external leasing and sales agency teams to provide market data, transaction benchmarking activity, and forecasting analysis. Supervise external valuations and annual property tax review. Support the Investment Team to prepare returns analysis for potential transactions, including cash flow models and valuations with supporting presentation of financial modelling assumptions and conclusions. Implement efficient information flow of lease/property operating data to Property Accounting team to ensure Yardi Voyager system is updated and financial statement preparation is completed in a timely manner as well as other duties and responsibilities to be discussed.What Sets You ApartThe ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' experience and a proven track record in real estate asset management (multifamily, retail, and other commercial assets strongly preferred). Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, investment modeling and reporting are key. Strong communication skills with a demonstrable ability to communicate with external and internal stakeholders is required. An outgoing, team-oriented personality is desired and cross-cultural experience is strongly preferred. A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or industry designation (CPM, RPA, CFA, CCIM).
